Privacy policy

Updated October 28, 2026

Dovela Inc. uses your information to help your brokerage get its work done. This policy explains what we use, why, and how you can control it. It covers dovela.org and the Dovela application.

Information we use

Your contact and account details, and the information your brokerage provides or authorizes us to access: client records, messages, documents, policies and payments. We also keep connected-account authorizations and a history of actions, approvals and technical activity.

We use this information to organize cases, read documents, prepare communications, carry out authorized operations and provide support. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising or training general-purpose AI models.

When you connect your email

Connecting Gmail or Outlook is optional. Dovela asks to identify your account and send messages from it. It does not request permission to read your mailbox or check your incoming or sent email.

The agent receives messages delivered to its own inbox: directly, by CC or by forwarding, depending on the workflow. It may use their content and attachments to handle that work. If a supported image is embedded in the message, Dovela stores it with the email to show the team; opening it does not download images hosted by the sender. Each reply must also reach that inbox for the agent to see it.

Who receives information

Your brokerage’s authorized team and the recipients of each operation, such as a client or insurer. Our hosting, storage, email, technical support and AI providers process the information needed to deliver the service, including in other countries.

AI may process messages, documents and case context. We require these providers not to retain that data or use it to train models. Dovela does keep work records. Operations in external portals may be recorded to check results and resolve failures.

Human access to Google user data is limited to your consent for support, security needs or legal requirements. We may also share information when required by law.

Protection and retention

We use encrypted connections, team access controls and encrypted connection credentials. We keep information needed to provide the service, maintain work history, recover operations and meet applicable obligations. Retention depends on the type of record and backup cycles.

Your choices

Disconnect your email in Settings › Your email to stop new sends from that account. To also revoke Google or Microsoft permission, remove Dovela from that account’s authorized applications.

Disconnecting does not erase history, and an operation already started may finish. Stored authorizations remain encrypted. To request access, correction or deletion, write to privacy@dovela.org. We will verify your identity and coordinate with your brokerage where needed. If we need to keep a record, we will explain why.

Cookies and metrics

The website remembers your language; the application uses cookies to sign you in and protect requests. We measure visits without tracking cookies. Application metrics exclude client names, email addresses and message or document content.

Google, updates and contact

Dovela’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We will publish changes here and ask for new consent before a different use of Google data that requires it. For privacy questions, contact Dovela Inc. at privacy@dovela.org.
